ugh im so confused ?

okay, so this guy wanted to give me a birthday present and he really likes me. why did he leave the present on my front door and not give it in person. when he called me for me to come out and see whats outside he said hes somewhere around the area to see my expression. the present was jewelry,real pearls. i dont get it, why would he do that!? why not hand it in person, is he afraid? or shy? nervous? guys please answer this
it was a ruined surprise. he told me what it was going to be before he gave it to me.

well of course he is nervous, especially when a guy is going out of his way to buy you something nice for your birthday, in the back of his mind he is coming up with the worst case scenario that you are going to hate it. But trust me when you open yourself up to him he will let down his guard a little bit more, and and you will warm up to each other and it’s all chemistry from there on out!
